Mrs. Roxie C. Atkinson, 48, of 3913 Huntsville Avenue, Brighton, died at the residence on Oct. 1. She was the wife of George M. Atkinson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Brighton Methodist Church with the Revs. M. J. Rockett, J. D. Kaylor, E. C. Johnson and Robert Westbrook officiating. Interment will be in Brighton Cemetery. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Elise Atkinson; two sons, Clettus and John Ralph Atkinson; two sisters, Misses Ida and Sally Gurley; two brothers, Wiley and George Gurley. Active pallbearers: R. A. Hooper, Banks Duffey, R. E. Donald, Paul Simms, Ross Green, J. D. Poques. Brown-Service, Bessemer, directing.
