Mary Helen Christian Arrowood, 57, resident of 208 Karlie Court, wife of Tracy Douglass Arrowood passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at her home, surrounded by family and friends.

A lifetime resident of Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Charles Samuel Christian and Shirley Smith Christian Dixon. Mary started working at Greenwood Mills when she was 16. She worked at various plants at Greenwood Mills and after eighteen years ended her employment working at the Mathews Plant. She went on to work with Fuji Film, where she worked five years until she retired in 1997 due to her health.

Mrs. Arrowood was a member of North Greenwood Church of God and went until her health declined. She loved people and making them smile. She loved the sunshine and outdoors.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are two daughters, Jodi Garland and husband Trey of Bonair, GA and Miranda Arrowood of Whitmire; four grandchildren, Caleb, Caleigh and Cadence Garland and Raylin Vicars; a brother, Mike Christian; two sisters Donna Christian and Lisa McCarty and husband Lewis, all of Greenwood; special friend and caretaker, Lecia Johansen of Ninety Six and other caretakers, Elizabeth Douglas and Pennie Crane.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM from Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Hendricks and Reverend Louie Murray officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ken Wrenn, Tony Dorn, Jerry Smith, Ron English, Dennis Arrowood, Mike Johansen, Rick Arrowood and Clarence Robinson.

The family is at the home and will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
