Service Friday, March 7, 2008 at 11 AM at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1660 Birch Lake Avenue, White Bear Lake. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes memorials to the Pat Brandt Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 416, Willernie, MN 55090.

Pat Brandt was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the fall of 1999. He endured brain surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. His last treatment was the day before he married his beautiful wife Jesse in June of 2000. His tumor was inactive for about 7 years during which Jesse and Pat settled down and started a family. In the fall of 2006, after the birth of two sons, Wes and Charlie, Pat had his first recurrence.

The tumor was treated at the Mayo clinic with chemotherapy for 8 months. The tumor actually started shrinking. Unfortunately, after 8 months it started growing again. In August of 2007, Pat had another surgery at Abbott Northwestern during which 70% of the tumor was removed. Pat then had more chemotherapy for the rest of the treatment. From October of 2007 to January 2008, Pat was in and out of the hospital four times for brain hemorrhages.

Pat endured this painful surgery, several rounds of chemo and multiple treatments for brain hemorrhages—all while winning rookie of the year and circle of excellence awards in his new job at LexisNexis and while pouring his heart and soul into being the most loving husband, caring father and generous friend he could be.

In February, 2008 Pat made the courageous decision to return home with his wife and two beautiful boys. He was unable to walk, his vision was mostly gone, and his tumor had started to grow again. Pat's doctor recommended against additional treatment as the possibility of bleeding in the brain again would likely kill him faster then if he had no treatment at all.

On March 2, 2008, with Jesse at his side and friends and family close by, the angels sang, and their call was answered. Patrick Christopher Brandt is now resting peacefully with the Lord our savior Jesus Christ. He was truly one of kind and will be deeply missed by all of those he touched. We hope you will join us in sending your thoughts and prayers to Pat's loving family during this difficult time.
