James Ashton Anderson, 7, resident of 108 Crestmont Drive, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood July 9, 2003, he was a son of James Ronald "Ron" and Temple Adams Anderson. Ashton was in the second grade class of Mrs. Susan Daniel at Woodfields Elementary School. He was a member of Calvary Chapel.
Survivors in addition to his parents of the home are two sisters, Taylor Anderson and Tabatha Anderson, both of the home; maternal grandmother, Donna Adams of Ninety Six; maternal grandfather, Bill Adams of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Norman and Mary Frances Anderson of Greenwood; maternal great-grandparents, Bob and Trudy Leopard of Lincolnton, GA; paternal great-grandmothers, Martha Anderson of Greenwood and Gladys Turner also of Greenwood; aunts and uncles, Don and Jamie Anderson and family of Greenwood, Brad and Melissa Hinzeman and family of Greenwood, Elizabeth Adams of Charleston and David Adams and family of Greenwood; special family, Ted and Connie Hinzman of Greenwood; and best friend and service dog, Lessie.
A celebration of Ashton's life will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Chapel, 2024 Woodlawn Road, with Pastor David Evans and Ted Hinzman officiating. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home in Edgemere and will receive friends following the service Thursday at the church.
