Mrs. Betty Jean Thomas Clark , 73, of Matthews, died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at her home. A native of Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late David Sanford Thomas and Ellen Glascoe Taylor Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin "Bud" Clark Sr. and was a homemaker.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at Bible Baptist Church, 2724 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, with burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday, at Lowe Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her son James Franklin (Frank) Clark , Jr. and his wife Gail M. Clark of Matthews. Other survivors include two granddaughters, Mary Brinkley and her husband Bobby, and Angela Hogsed and her husband Tim; two grandsons, David Clark and his wife Teresa, and Colby Anderson. Mrs. Clark was also blessed with two great grandchildren, Hailee Brinkley and Jimmy Clark .
