Mr. Adams' Rites To Be Thursday
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Reed funeral home for Coleigny Adams, 68, who died Monday at his home, 408 Dawson street.
Rites will be conducted by the Rev. Elba Rich and the Rev. Russell Petterson. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. Persons may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born in Grayson county, Va., April 22, 1899, Mr. Adams was the son of Henry Martin and Emma Woodruff Adams. He married the former Louveney McQueary Aug. 25, 1923. Mr. Adams spent most of his early life in Virginia and moved to Columbus 24 years ago. He had been preaching in various Baptist churches for 34 years. He retired from Stadler Packing company six years ago. He was a member of the Blue River Baptist church.
Surviving with his wife are five sons, Delmer and Charles Adams, both of Muncie, Dawson Adams of 346 Dawson street, Donald Adams of Nashville and Chester Adams, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Delta Fields of North Vernon route 4 and Mrs. Hazel Parrigin, at home; two brothers, Fred Adams of 427 Dawson street and Norman Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio, and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a daughter, Ocal Adams.

When he registered for the draft in 1918, he was living with his parents in Adair County, Kentucky and is presumably where he met his wife.
