JAMES M. BERRAY, age 70

James "Jim" Berray of Albion, NY went home to the Lord on Sunday, 22 Jun 2014, having passed in his sleep, peacefully, at home. Jim is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Carol Seddon Berray also of Albion; his daughter Lisa Berray, of Brunswick, MD; many extended family members and beloved friends. He was predeceased by his son James E. Berray and his parents, Edward Burr and Ola Collins Berray.
Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the military, Jim continued his service to his nation as a photographic interpreter for the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C.
Jim was an avid photographer who loved gardening, music and animals. Quick to laugh and always ready to help others, Jim's presence in this life will be sorely grieved by those who loved and cherished him. In honor of Jim's request, there will be no public viewing or calling hours. His family will celebrate his life during a private graveside service at a later date. The Berray family thanks all who have offered prayers and comfort during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please remember Jim with a donation to your local animal shelter in honor of his love and care for all animals. Arrangements for the family were completed by the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes of Albion.
