Lucinda L. Alexander, 72, of Springfield, died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. John's Hospital.

Lucinda was born February 3, 1941 in Springfield, the daughter of Samuel and Louise Pence Tolan. She married Stewart O. Alexander on February 14, 1969 in Peoria; he preceded her in death in 2005.

Lucinda had previously worked for Rutledge Nursing Home and was a member of the American Legion. She enjoyed crocheting, making knitting blankets, and playing bingo.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronnie, parents and step-mother, Shirley Tolan.

She is survived by her two sons, Stewart (Susan) Alexander and Ronald (Desirae) Alexander, both of Springfield; daughter, Mary (Shane) LaRocca of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Chelsea Sneed, Jessica Grafton, Chastity Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Tristan Alexander, Anthony LaRocca, Chance Alexander, John Alexander, Lincoln Alexander, and one on the way, Abagail Alexander; five great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Behymer of FL; companion, Herman Behl of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
