Kenneth M. Agin, 81, of Ripley County died Friday, February 2, 2007, at the NEA medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. Mr. Agin was born March 17, 1925, in Ripley County. A lifelong resident of Ripley County, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff since 1953, having served as an usher for more than 20 years. He had served in the U.S. Army as a court reporter with the war crimes court in Tokyo, Japan, During World War II. He retired as a teacher and director as the vo-tech in Doniphan after 30 years and was a farmer. He enjoyed cattle farming, gardening and flowers. On February 14, 1948, he married Beth Davis. She preceded him in death in April 1990. Survivors include one daughter, Kenna Harrelson and her husband, Woody , of Jonesboro, Ark,; two sisters, Betty Smithson of North Little Rock, Ark., and Bonnie Hurt of West Plains and one brother, Wayne Agin of Doniphan. His parents, Earl and Florence McCarthy Agin and one brother, Wilford Agin, preceded him in death.
