Ronald Leon Adkins, 64, of Tyler, Texas died April 19, 2007, in Bonham, Texas. Burial was in White Rose Cemetery. He was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Orange, TX. to the late Johnny Thomas Adkins and Connie Mary Rohus Adkins. He lived in Duncanville until he joined the Navy. He then lived in Dallas and Fort Smith, Ark., until moving to Tyler 14 years ago. He worked for St. Joe Paper Co. in Mesquite and then worked in the electrical industry and was self-employed for the last several years. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Kathleen Adkins, Tyler; son, Daniel Adkins, Kansas City, Mo.; stepsons, Earl Barrier Jr., League City, and Billy Barrier, Mesquite; daughter, Veronica Doan, Kansas City, Mo.; stepdaughters, Bonnie Grant, Garland, Frances Beisert, Carrollton, Patty Dunlap, Greenville, Pa., and Theresa Moore, Tom Bean; brothers, Harold "Buddy" Adkins, Carrollton, and Donald Adkins, Kemp; sisters, Nell Sims, Fort Smith, Ark., and Peggy Boyanton, Lewisville; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
