AGLIO, James J. SR. - James J. Aglio Sr., husband of Betty (Anderson) Aglio, died, surrounded by his family, Sunday (March 4, 2007) at Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. James (Jim) was a lifelong New Britain resident who owned and managed Aglio Heating & Cooling for 32 years until his retirement in 1982. Besides his loving wife Betty, he leaves two sons, James J. Aglio Jr. and his wife Linda of Kensington, Russell Aglio and his wife Traci of Chester; two daughters, Cheryl Aglio-Girelli and her husband Alan of Needham, MA; and Patricia Aglio Skidmore and her husband Mark of Killington, VT; six grandchildren, Taylor Aglio, James J. Aglio III, Aaron and Ian Girelli, and Tucker and Skyler Aglio; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Russell, Michael, and Samuel; and a sister, Mary. Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, March 9, 2007, at 8:45 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Ann's Church, New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007, 4-7 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. The family would like to extend sincere thanks for the compassionate and exemplary care provided by all of the C-5 staff at the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
