Larry Thomas Adams, age 65, of Bancroft, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at his home. He was born on December 3, 1948, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, to Carl and Dorothy (Callahan) Adams. Larry graduated from Tri-County High School in 1967 and served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Coral Sea from 1968 to 1974. His favorite hobbies included deer hunting, playing softball, working on his family farm, and listening to his favorite oldies music. Larry never missed an opportunity to play a good game of Smear or a round of miniature golf. He treasured the time he spent with his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife of 29 years: Mary Adams, Bancroft; children: Amber (Kevin) Progar, St. Paul, MN and Patrick Adams, Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Kaydence Adams, Mosinee and Nevaeh Ross, Stevens Point; mother: Dorothy Adams, Plover; sister: Nancy (Gerald) Fletcher, Bancroft; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father: Carl Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 12(NOON) on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Leikness & Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM (NOON). Following the service, military honors will be accorded by V.F.W. Post 6007 and the United States Navy Honors Team.
