Margaret Amerman departed this life on April 22, 1875, aged 73 years. Her afflictions were very painful, she died of senile gangrene, at her daughter's residence in Jonestown. On the 23rd her remains were taken to Center Church, Rev. C.G. Eaton preached a very appropriate sermon to a large congregation. She was buried by the side of her husband, Peter Amerman, who departed this life 3 years before. Thus passed away the parents of a large family of children, and great grandchildren. Mr. Peter Amerman emigrated to this county about 40 years ago from Davis County this State.
