Mrs. Edna Abel, beloved wife of M. D. Abel of Esparto, passed away in Woodland today shortly after the noon hour. Death was caused by euremic [sp] poisoning, a kidney disease. Mrs. Abel had given birth to a little daughter Saturday evening. The child had come stillborn. Besides her husband, Mrs. Abel left four children.Mrs. Abel was the daughter of Mrs. Ed. McCloud of Esparto. She was 34 years old."

Word reached here on Tuesday that Mrs. Melvin Abel had passed away at the Woodland Sanitorium. The deceased was well and favorably known in this section having lived here for several years and having married Melvin Abel here. She leaves behind her husband and four children and her aged mother to mourn her passing. She came here from her home in Esparto several years ago and met and married her husband, and after living here for a year or so moved to Woodland, where they have since resided."
