Aurora then married Samuel Meyers on 7/3/1866 in Hancock Co., OH. Samuel was born 4/14/1820. They had two children: Minor born 1867 and Iddo John born 11/30/1868. Samuel died 10/24/1869 in Leipsic, Putnam Co., OH and is buried there. Aurora then married Philip Henry Ackley on 11/24/1874. Philip was born Nov. 1830 in PA. They had one child together: Rosa Belle born 9/6/1875. Aurora and Philip divorced and Aurora then married Amesa Short on 3/11/1877. Amesa was born 1/3/1830 in Oakland Co., MI and was married 4 times and had several children. He was Aurora's uncle. They were later divorced "for cruelty" and Aurora received $200.00 per month alimony. 1900 Kent Co. MI census shows Aurora married to Adam Pickerd. Aurora died at the age of 74 years and 4 months. She died at home in her bed. Her death certificate is in the name of Aurora Ackley. She kept the Ackley name after the divorce from Amesa Short.
