Lewis Mangiapia was my Grandfather.He met his wife, my grandmother Anna Kretx? on the boat on it's way to Ellis Island.I was named after him, only my name is spelled differently. He was the one person who made me feel loved and important.My grandfather spent a lot of time at his country house in the Catskills, Andes, New York.He instilled in me my a great love of outdoors.He was a God fearing bible reading man. He taught me about fishing, hunting and how to respect the land.I feel when he passed, part of me passed with him.I loved spending the summers up there with them alone.He was a good, simple, humble man and I love him very much.
