Clyde Henry Albright, Sr., age 69 and a 36 year resident of El Paso, TX, passed away September 17, 2010. He was born December 3, 1940 in Moscow, TN, to Sam & Lucy Ann (James) Albright. Clyde proudly served his country in Vietnam in the U.S. Army. He was an experienced and skilled technical writer and developer of training materials as well as an expert in U.S. Army Training Development programs, procedures and requirements. Clyde was experienced in instruction of both U.S. and allied officers and enlisted personnel, in staffing, coordination and government/contractor and interagency relations and joint efforts. He retired from the Army in 1984 after reaching the rank of MSG/E8. Clyde then worked as a civil servant until retiring earlier this year.

He is survived by his son: Clyde Henry Albright II and girlfriend Rebecca; daughter: Zondra Harriston & husband Kevin of Royse City, TX; former wife: Glodine Albright of Rockwall, TX; sisters: Edith Jones of Moscow, TN, Lucy B. Albright of Riley, NC, and Dorotha Albright of Nashville, TN; granddaughter: Valentina Albright of Lubbock, TX; and grandson: Kevin Harriston of Royse City, TX. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Leo, Bobby and Sam.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Lyn Cypert officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

10-01-2010 I would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family. Clyde was a wonderful man, close friend and will be missed. We used to go and have catfish on Fridays for lunch and without him it just isn't the same..I do truly miss this gentleman and may god take care of this special person.
