BILLINGS – Shawn Paul Allread, 42, died from a gunshot wound Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, in Billings.

He was born Sept. 10, 1973, in Seattle to Gayle M. Allread. As a young boy, he lived in Missoula with his grandmother and sister. He attended Big Sky High School, where he played football. He also was a member of Boy Scouts of America.

Shawn had a soft spot for animals and was always bringing home strays. He had a passion for cooking and became quite the chef. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and nephew. He also took great loving care of his friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gayle M. Allread; and grandmother, Georgia M. Adkins. Survivors include his sister, Socorro Barela; niece, Savannah Rose; nephews, Elijah and Terence; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
