Years ago I worked with Jim at RTW in Rogers, AR.
There was a bunch of us, Jim and his family included would gather near the plant some evenings or weekends and play volleyball.

Everyone would have their family and a cooler of drinks and snacks and would either participate in the lively volleyball games or sit and cheer from the shade of huge oaks that lined the grassy place where we had the volleyball net set up.

We all spent many wonderful evenings playing or just sitting in the shade shootin the breeze visiting.

The people that worked together back then were like family and stayed close over the following years.

We didn't know it then but those were golden days, days that we would all look back on with a smile on our face. It's times like these that form a lasting bond among strangers and turn strangers into beloved friends. The bond is still there after over 25 years... the bond is still there...

I've kept so many of those friends from all those years ago.
Jim is the first in the circle to leave us.
You are missed...

Listen for Angels
hovering near,
whispering words
you long to hear,

love is not over
life is not gone
now and forever,
the spirit lives on.

Don't Cry for me...

If you could only see where I'm at now, you wouldn't cry for me. All of Heavens Angels met me when I arrived and I was met by Jesus with a loving embrace. I walked side by side with old friends and family alike. Don't cry for me because here there is no trace of sickness or sadness only His loving Grace. The beauty is beyond words and nothing I could say would compare. Don't cry for me because I am in a far better place, with streets of gold just like we were told. So please remember don't cry for me but rather rejoice for I can hear angels sing. Oh, how much peace their voices bring.

You can shed tears that I am gone.
Or you can smile because I lived.
You can close your eyes
and pray that I will come back
Or you can open your eyes
and see all that I left.
Your heart can be empty
because you can't see me
Or you can be full
of the love we shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow
and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.
You can remember me
and only that I am gone
Or you can cherish my memory
and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what I'd want:
smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.
