Patricia Rich Allen was born in Long Beach, California to parents Melvin W. Rich and Otella Hale. The family relocated to Logan, Utah after her father's graduation where he set up a medical practice.

Growing up, she was very active in the 4-H program and won many blue ribbons for her sewing talent. In addition to her many talents, she was an accomplished pianist and organist, having taken lessons on the Salt Lake Tabernacle organ.

She was sealed to her high school sweetheart, Robert Warren Allen, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on June 3, 1955.

She served numerous callings in the church including Ward Organist, Primary President, Stake Primary President, Meeting House Librarian and Secretary to the Stake President. She also worked with her husband to help build church buildings in each area where they lived.

They were blessed with four children and had the opportunity to live in a variety of places during Robert's Air Force service. Later, she was able to travel with Robert to some exotic places during the time he was working for the Boeing company.

She is preceded in death by one grandchild and survived by her husband Robert and daughters Debra Bair, Michelle Rigutto, Sanne, and son Ronald, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Where Love Is

Where love is, there God is also.
Where love is, we want to be.
Guide us, His truths to follow;
Help us obey Him faithfully.

Where love is, there God is also.
We think of Him rev'rently.
Teach us to pray, to talk with Him above
And know that He will guide us with His love.

The comfort of loving arms around us,
A song that makes us want to sing,
The happiness we feel when love has found us,
'Tis love we get when love we bring.

Where love is, there God is also.
And with Him we want to be.
Show us the way and guide us tenderly
That we may dwell with Him eternally.
