A funeral will be held Tuesday, October 25th, 2005 for 80-year-old Anna May Abt of Ste. Genevieve, who died Saturday, October 22nd at the Ste. Genevieve Care Center.
She was born November 19th, 1924 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Joseph Wolk and Mary Marie (Denler) Wolk, who both preceded her in death.
She married Gerald F. Abt Sr. on June 11th, 1947. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.
Also surviving are: two sons and daughters in law, Gerald and Eileen Abt Jr., Joseph and Dianne Abt and Wayne and Rhonda Abt, all of Ste. Genevieve; a daughter and son in law, Joyce and Albert Gegg of Ste. Genevieve and a brother and sister in law, Amos and Margaret Wolk of Ste. Genevieve; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Joseph and Arthur Wolk, and two sisters, Irene Foeste and Leona Abt.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and St. Joseph Ladies Sodality.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. this (Monday, October 17th) afternoon and evening at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.
The American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries will gather at the funeral home at 7 p.m.
