Frank J. Slovak JR., of Ennis passed away Tuesday,January 29,2008 in Ennis.He was 87.He was born January 20,1921 in Alma,Texas to parents,Frank and Antonia Galetka Slovak.He attended Bardwell and Central High Schools. He served in the US Army from 1942-1945 in WWII in Patton's 3rd Army Division in the European Theatre.He worked for Chance/Vaught in Aircraft Production for several years and for Ennis Cabinets for 14 years as a cabinet maker.He also farmed for many years.He retired in 1983 from Ennis Cabinet.He was a member of ST. John Catholic Church,KJT,American Legion,VFW,Sokol and ST.John's Booster Club.He is survived by two brothers,John Slovak of Ennis and Bob Slovak of Bryan; two sisters, Mary Mikel of Ennis and Georgia Harrell of Stockton,California; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Vlasta Kubin.He was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Victor and Henry; two sisters, Elsie Slama and Mildred Slovacek.Mass of the Christian burial was held,February 2,2008 at ST.John Catholic Church.
