Mr. J.T. Bolding died at his home near Pleasant Site Sunday after an illness of several months.

Mr. Bolding was one of the county's best known and most highly esteemed citizens who had for years been prominently identified with the upbuilding of Franklin, being a successful and prosperous farmer. He was a strong, influential and consecrated member of the Baptist church and his good works are plainly to be seen in the lives of his noble sons.

Mr. Bolding leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn his death.

Resolutions of Respect.

At the recent meeting of the Big Bear Creek Baptist Association the following was adopted:

Whereas, our beloved brother James Tarplar [sic] Bolding has been called from among us to eternity, whereas, we greatly miss him in our body and our hearts are made sad over our great lost [sic] while we are satisfied it is heaven's gain.

Therefore be it

Resolved, That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Be it further

Resolved, That we try to carry out the good advice he has so often given to us in the Big Bear Creek association, and that we ever cherish his memory. Be it

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be furnished the bereaved family of our beloved brother, a copy be printed in our minutes and published in the Franklin Times.
