Ruth Irene Adams, 82 of Moss Point passed from this life on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Lucedale. She was born July 12, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mrs. Adams was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Anna O'Neil Chapter of Moss Point, a member of the SRH Ladies Auxillary for many years and a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Point (SBC).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert H. & Ruth Sutterfield Neely.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, John Adams of Moss Point; daughter, Diane (Tress) Tyler of Lucedale; sons, David (Cherri) Adams of Lucedale and Jon (Cindy) Adams of Seneca, South Carolina; brother, Johnny J. (Dorothy) Neely of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Eric (Holly) Tyler, Kristy (Lyle) Collier, Kelly (Simon) Eubanks, Jason (Scottie) Adams, Tristan (April) Adams, Micah Adams, Landon Adams; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Jackson, Benjamin, Emily, Bryson, Blake, Kellen, Kaden, Briley, Isaac; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 1:00 until 3:00PM at First Baptist Church in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM from the church with Rev. Michael Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Griffin Cemetery, Moss Point, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be David Adams, Jason Adams, Tristan Adams, Eric Tyler, Scott Burnside and Tress Tyler. Lyle Collier will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
