Ida A. Arnold, 73, died Friday at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
She was born in Gunn City, Mo., October 6, 1907, to Bruce and Attelia (Heavner) Hyatt. She grew up and lived at Gunn City for 25 years, later attending college in Wattensburg, Mo., where she graduated in 1930.
She taught school in Missouri for four years before moving to Montana in 1934. She married Ralph Arnold November 27, 1937, at Livingston.
She also taught school in Dry Creek for three years. She has lived in Manhattan for the last 37 years.
She is survived by her husband; five sons, Bob and Jack of Hardin, Don of Fort Benton, Ken of Los Angeles, Calif., and Gary of Belgrade; a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Louise) Bates of Anceney; a brother, Harold Hyatt of Latouir, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Services will be held graveside, Monday at 2 p.m. at Meadowview Cemetery. Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
