He didn't want to be an inside cat for many years, but as he started to age he found that a nice warm bed at night was pretty good...but then he wanted to go outside first thing in the morning to do his patrols.
After another year or two passed, he started staying inside more and more, and finally became a full time "inside cat." He liked to sit on his perch in the front window to survey his domain. He became a tolerant and loving friend to the other cats, and decided the foot of my bed was a nice place to spend the night.
Age and kidney problems finally took him across the Rainbow Bridge at about 15-16 years old. He fought a valiant fight, but let me know when it was time to let him go. He's having fun frolicking with his friends Lil' One who joined him in April 2009, and Burma who joined him in November 2009.
I need to find some of my older pictures of Squeaker, the ones currently posted are from a cell phone camera and don't do him justice.
He will be dearly missed.
