Stella was born June 23, 1917, in Millwood, TX, to Henry and Cora Watkins and passed away February 3, 2013. Stella was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Leroy Smith; one son, James (Sonny) Smith, seven brothers, one sister, one grandson; and son-in-law, Paul Dupree. She is survived by one daughter, Durene Dupree; one daughter-in-law, Martha Smith; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; sister, Veta Simmons and husband, John; and brother, James Watkins and wife, Faye. Stella retired from Jo Hardin-Sunnysouth after 27 years of service. Funeral services are 2:00 PM, TODAY, February 5, 2013, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel, Duncanville, TX. Interment will follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park, Duncanville. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney or Heart foundation.
