LEON VETERAN DIES
Erysipelas complicated with gangrene caused the death at 10 o’clock Friday night at the soldiers’ home hospital of James H. Acton, who came to the home from Leon, Oct. 24, 1916. Mr. Acton was born in Decatur county Oct. 12, 1849 and enlisted in Company E., Twelfth Missouri cavalry, Sept. 25, 1863 at Princeton, Mo. He was discharged April 9, 1866 at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Mr. Acton was a widower and is survived by one son, H. V. Acton, of Aberdeen, S.D.
