Beverly Ann Pitman Dykes, 54 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, March 27th, 2008 at her residence.
Beverly was born on December 11th, 1953 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Eevrett Lee and Ruth Sewell Taylor Pitman. She was a member of Rock Lick Baptist Church in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
Beverly was survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Ronnie Dykes, whom she married in Somerset, Kentucky on Christmas Eve, December 24th, 1974; two sons, Jason (and Brittney) Dykes and Christopher Lee Dykes, both Somerset, Kentucky; four brothers, Denzil Lee (and Prescilla) Pitman, Delmer E. (and Glenda) Pitman, Carlos Lee (and Barbara) Pitman, and Gary Dewayne (and Kaye) Pitman, all of Somerset, Kentucky; two sisters Janice Faye (and Edward) Barrett of Russell Springs, Kentucky and Wilma Jean (and Lonnie) Loveless of Somerset, Kentucky; one grandson, Jadon Dykes of Somerset, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eevrett Lee Pitman, who departed this life on February 6th, 2004 and Ruth Pitman, who departed this life on July 10th, 1968; and two sons, Randy Lee Dykes, who departed this life at 5 years of age on June 25th, 1981 and Eric Lee Dykes, who was born into eternal life on February 22nd, 1981.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30th, 2008 in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Chaplin David Green officiating.
Interment followed in the Rock Lick Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
