Mrs. Ruby Hamlin Gilreath, age 79, of Maineville, OH passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Bethesda North Hospital, in Cincinnati, OH.
She was born in Duck Run, KY on February 18, 1929 to the late William Luther and Nellie Cox Hamlin. She attended Buena Vista Baptist Church, and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a very caring person who never met a stranger and loved children.
Mrs. Gilreath is survived by a daughter Gloria (& Gene) Gillespie of Mason, OH; a brother Ray (& Pat) Hamlin of Pine Knot, KY; three sisters Reba Anderson of Somerset, Normae (& Raymond) Walker of Williamsburg, KY, and Pernia (& Algie) Lay of Pine Knot, KY; seven grandchildren Gena Lewin, Toni Godfrey, Darryl Stone, Christina Jessee, Gina Stegmann, Danielle Stahl, and Angela Smith; sixteen great-grandchildren; two son-in-laws Tony Stone and Landon Smith; three sister-in laws Ruby Hamlin, Marie Hamlin, and Elsie Hamlin; and a brother-in-law Fred Wilson.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Rubin Gilreath; a son Arney T. Gilreath; two daughters Fayrene Stone and Betty Smith; three brothers Roy Hamlin, Elmer Hamlin, and Archie Hamlin; and a sister Ruth Wilson.
Funeral services for Ruby Gilreath were held on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 10:00am with Bro. C. E. Jacobs officiating. Interment followed in the Science Hill Cemetery
