Vickie was born on March 29th, 1943, daughter of the late Owen Fox Deering and Mary Hayden Deering.
Vickie was survived by her loving husband, Tommy Wheeler; four sons, Kelly (and Tammy) Wheeler, Steven (and Debbie) Wheeler, both of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Jerry Wheeler of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Owen Scott Wheeler of Florida; two daughters, Leslie Gayle (and Mike) Hicks of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Tracy (and Gary) Dooley of Acton, Kentucky; one sister Betty Raley of Lebanon, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Fox Deering, who departed this life on June 10th, 1968 and Mary Deering, who departed this life on June 11th, 1967; five brothers, Paul Deering, Junior Deering, Elijah Deering, Bobby Deering, and John Deering; and three sisters, Patsy Craig, Seale Tharp, and Sister Pendigraft.
Funeral services were conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 in the Chapel of the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Sharp officiating.
Her pallbearers were: Todd Quinn, Kenny Agee, Chris Agee, Joey Dooley, Jeremy Wilcoxson, and Eric Keith.
Burial followed in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
