Oliver Allerton, an old resident of Big Pine, died at Hawthorne last Monday. The remains were brought to Big Pine for interment.

He resided for a time at Angola, Steuben County, Indiana, and at East Fairfield, Columbiana County, Ohio, but was of a roving disposition and eventually went to California, where it is supposed that he died.
