James Able, age 65, of 2000 10th Ave., died at 6.15 a.m. today In the Altoona Veterans Administration Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born at Waynesboro, S.C., April 8, 1897, a son of Alfred and Sally (Bolder) Able.

Surviving are sister, Miss Lucy, and a brother Alf, of Waynesboro, S.C.

He was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a laborer.

Mr. Able served with the Army during World War II.

Friends will be received at the Scaglione Funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
