Married Henry Vincent Cochrane on 28th July 1951.He predeceased her in 1998.There were no children from this marriage.

Gwen remarried on 2nd December 2004 to Cyril Oliver Parsons who had been a family friend for many years.Their friendship grew into a loving relationship but sadly by this time she was dying.They were married at 'The Rowans' Hospice at Purbrook, Hampshire.She was discharged home after a short while but became unwell within a few days and was admitted to Q.A. Hospital at Cosham.

She died on the afternoon of 21st December 2004.

Gwen was a Lovely Lady who was always cheerful and full of life.Her caring nature and self sacrifice were second to none.A good Christian Women who always said her prayers.Sadly missed by all those who had the good fortune to have known her.
