Quentin Warren Adcock, age 82, a resident of Dardanelle, AR and former resident of Horatio, AR, died Tuesday, August 22, 2000 in the Dardanelle Nursing Home. He was born to James L. and Etta Able Adcock on July 30, 1918, at Nectar, Alabama. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Horatio, and a Mason. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force, where he served as a Master Sergeant, a farmer and was an avid fox hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Robertson Adcock, whom he married, July 12, 1941; three sons; Warren Adcock of Farmington, AR, Pat Adcock of Mineral Springs, AR and Max Adcock of Dardanelle, AR; one daughter, Beth Piearcy of Russellville, AR; one brother, Clifton Adcock of Cleveland, AL; one sister, Peggy Maddox of DeQueen; one sister-in-law, Ethelene Adcock of Cleveland, AL; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was August 25, 2000 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Walden and Rev. J. L. Walker officiating. Burial followed in the Clear Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, DeQueen, AR.
