Maxine Carrel Adney, age, 91, of Dardanelle, AR died Monday, March 5, 2001 at Dardanelle Hospital. She was born April 26, 1909 in Dardanelle, the daughter of the late Will and Grace Shepherd Carrel, a charter member of Chapter 589 of the Order of the Eastern Star and member of Oak Grove Methodist Church. She has worked part time as a clerk at Jaggers Drug Store.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius V. Adney; an infant son; three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, J, C land Audrey Adney of Chattaroy, WA.; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Jane and Bill Bryson of Dardanelle, AR; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral was Thursday at Dardanelle Funeral Home by Raymond Hillis and Larry Johnson. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery by Dardanelle Funeral Service.
