Prophet Adams attended Mt. Zion AME Church of Creston. Prophet Adams was a sweet, kind, generous and loving soul of a man, with a heart that was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed gardening in his backyard and was do it yourself master. He was first married to the late Sophia Davis of Moncks Corner, SC and was blessed with eleven children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Carrie Lee Coker and Ebell Tucker; one daughter: Di Johna Adams, Rosa Bell Greene.
Prophet Adams leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife of seven years: Alice Backmon of the home; six daughters: Rachel (Ralph) Milligan, Sadie (Micheal) McKelvey of Moncks Corner, SC, Virgie Mae Butler of Summerville, SC, Reatha Limehouse of Macon, Georgia and Danielle M. Adams of Gaston; seven sons: Clarence (Mary) Adams and Owen Adams of Moncks Corner, SC, John Henry Adams of Orangeburg, SC, Earnest (Eva) Adams and Silas Adams of Bonneau, SC, Frankie Adams of Andrew, SC and Thomas Lee Adams of Ladson, SC; step children: Sgt. Latyja and Shenique Backmon of Georgia and Amber Backmon of the home; mother and father-in-law: Earlie and Robert Backmon of Elloree, SC; sisters-in-law: Candance, Rudine, Shonda, Carolyn Shoranda, Tonja, Porsha and Priscilla; brothers-in-law: Sam, Bennie, Timothy, Robert, Jr., Jacob, Frank, Jeremiah and Terrell; a special uncle: Willie James Harmon, Jacob Hattie; and a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; uncles and aunts; nieces and nephews and friends.
