Mr. Y.D. Abercrombie, age 77 of Dahlonega, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
Y.D. was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County where he spent his life as a poultry farmer. He was married to his loving wife, Patricia, for 53 years; and was a loving father and grandfather. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was the son of the late James and Ella Anderson Abercrombie, and was also preceded in death by his two sons, Jack and Andy Abercrombie; sister, Glancie Ledford; and brother, Rudolph Abercrombie.
Funeral services for Y.D. were held Saturday, March 2, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Dahlonega.
Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Charles Buice officiated.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
