REFUGIO - George Henry Arnold, 87, of Refugio, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004.

He was born June 22, 1916, in Arp. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was the past master of Del Mar and Refugio Lodges of the Masonic Lodge, past district deputy of the Grand Lodge of Texas, past patron of the Eastern Star for Aransas Pass and Taft, and a member of the Al Amin Shrine Temple.

Survivors: daughters, Patsy Painter of Gonzales, Jane Ondrej of Rockport, and Barbara Baker of Tyler; sons, Billy Joe Arnold of Tyler, Louis H. Arnold of Fort Worth, and George H. Arnold Jr. of Corpus Christi; sister, Iva Lee Williams of Tyler; brother, Billy Arnold of San Antonio; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: wife, Alice Louise Hargis Arnold.

Visitation will be 1-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home chapel.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Moore Funeral Home, Refugio
