Much beloved wife of Conn Baker. A native of Great Britain, she was a Tiller Girl touring in India when she met Baker. The couple was engaged in Poona India. She and her husband were the parents of Miriam Baker, whom they called "Poona" as an endearment. Grandmother of K.J. and Conn Baker Gibney. Conn Baker Gibney said that once his grandfather saw his grandmother, Conn told him that the only woman he saw was Laura. "She was devoted to him as he was to her."
