CLINTON —Paul Adams, 82, of Clinton went to meet his savior Feb. 22, 2011, in his residence. He was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Montezuma, Ind., to Claude B. Adams and Sara Lawson Adams. He spent 20 years in the U.S. Army working with tanks and retired as a E7. He was a member of the Immanuel Southern Baptist church in Midway, Ind., and also had a love for music playing in the Cowboy church band.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first spouse, Karlina Adams; four sisters, Thelma Maxine Wallace, Ilene M. Taylor Meyers, Norma Doddes, and Betty Harstead Wells; two brothers, William R. Adams, and Donald Jack Adams.

He is survived by his wife Pat Adams; a son, Roger Adams and wife Patty of Cory, Ind.; six daughters; Linda Powell and husband Richard of Spencer, Ind., Carolyn S. Allen of Tucson, Ariz., Sarah Lawson and husband Tim of Rockville, Ind., Teresa Goddard and husband Jeff of Marshall, Ind., Ann Magee and husband Jessie of Clinton, Ind., and Marcia Trusley and husband Glen of Rockville, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday Feb. 25, 2011, at Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Midway with the service starting at 1 p.m. The Rev. Mark Houvenagle will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
