J.S. MARPLE AGEE
---Dr. J. S. Marple Agee, 52, died Aug. 5 in Pacific, Mo. He was born in Elmer on May 31, 1916, the son of Willie and Ethel Shumaker Agee.
---He was superintendent of the Franklin County R-3 schools at Pacific and previously was superintendent of the Desloge school system.
---Mr. Agee was a graduate of the Elmer high school, Northeast Missouri State College, where he received his B. S. degree in education, and the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he received a master's degree in education.
---He was married to Wanda Davidson, LaPlata, in 1937. They were parents of three sons.
---Surviving are his widow, two sons, two grandchildren and a half-sister, Mrs. J. A. Conner, Brookfield.
---His parents and an infant son preceded him in death.
---Memorial services were held in the Pacific high school auditorium on Aug. 7. Later that evening, Masonic services were held at the Caldwell Chapel, Flat River, by the Ionic Lodge 154, Desloge.
---Graveside services were Aug. 8 at St. Francois Memorial Cem- (the rest of his obituary is missing).
