George was listed as a resident of San Francisco, Cal., when he married at Portland, Me. The WA Cat. indicated George “went west.” In 1880, listed as a wool broker, he and Elizabeth were living in San Rafael, Cal. His mother-in-law, Francis Daveis was living with them.
Elizabeth’s death certificate indicated she was a widow, and a resident at the Columbia Hotel, Portland, Me. She was listed in Portland, Me., as a widow, in 1920.
