LARRY J. CURTIS, 69, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012. Born in St. Louis, Mo., he graduated from Collinsville High School in 1961 and served in the Air Force. He was a District Manager for Walden Books, then worked for Grabill Cabinets for eight years and retired from Park Center in 2003. He was a member of Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Artlink and Fort Wayne Museum of Art. He loved books, art and nature. He also enjoyed fossil hunting, camping and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret "Maggie" Ayer Curtis; daughters, Cathy (Brian) Wise of Fort Wayne and Coreen "Dorothea" Curtis of Chico, Calif.; sister, Chris Ann (Gene) Mergel of Lacy Springs, Ala.; grandsons, Curtis Wise and Bobby Jones; and granddaughter, Rachel Wise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Catherine Curtis; sister, Cynthia Shirley; daughter, Karma Jones; and grandson, Brandon Jones. A celebration of life is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 5310 Old Mill Road with a gathering one hour prior. Rev. Jennie Barrington officiating. Memorial gathering also from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Unitarian Universalist Congregation Roof project. Arrangements by D.O.
