Daughter of George and Matilda (Wright) Whitney. Sister to Elizabeth (Lizzie) Whitney Gribben and Ellen (Ella) Whitney Gailor.
Married George E. Aiken on January 27, 1886 in Lockport, Niagara Co. George remarried to Iantha Jane (Jane, nee Chronkite)Sims; widow of Benjamin Sims on February 3, 1920 in Gasport, Niagara Co. and died July 23, 1929 at his home in Royalton.
I cannot explain the discrepancy in spelling of her last name from "Aiken to Aikin."

THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 1904 ,

Mrs. Minnie Aiken, wife of Mr. George
E. Aiken, died at her home Sunday
afternoon, May 29, after an illness of
about five weeks. She is survived by
her husband and eight children, four
sons and four daughters, who have the
sympathy of the entire community. The
funeral services will he Observed from
the late residence Tuesday afternoon at
3.30 o'clock and one-half hour later from
the M. E. church. Interment in Mountain
Ridge Cemetery.
