WILLIAM R. ABBOTT SR.
William R. (Bob) Abbott Fr. of Woodway, a retired salesman from several Central Texas businesses, died Sunday at his home. He was 76.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home, the Rev. Joe F. Larson officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. at Fairmont Cemetery in San Angelo, the Rev. Jason Fry officiating.

Mr. Abbott was born Sept 30, 1917 in Baltimore, Md. He moved to Jacksonville at an early age. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Washington and Lee University from 1937 to 1939. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1940 to 1946. He moved to Waco in 1952.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Ruth Abbott of Woodway; a daughter, Pamela Abbott Rasser of San Angelo; three sons, W. R.Abbott, Jr. of Dallas and Barry S. Abbott and Thomas D. Abbott; a sister, Jeane Mister of Baltimore, Md.; and 19 grandchildren

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Woodway United Methodist Church.
