Obituary of Mrs. Agnes Ackerman
Mrs. Agnes Ackerman, 82, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. L. F. Maloney at Ogden, Utah on Tuesday, June 19, having been ill for about a week.
Solemn requiem mass was observed at Mt. Carmel Church last Friday morning at 10 o'clock, with burial in the Paplin cemetery.
Agnes Bona Ackerman was born at West Price, Germany, January 21, 1857 coming to Chicago at the age of 17. Two years later she married Martin Makowski and to this union were born two sons and two daughters. Ten years later they moved to Ashton and Mr. Makowski died two years later.
She then married Joseph Ackerman and to this union were born four children, two daughters and two sons.
Survivors include the following children, two sons and two daughters and Mr. Ackerman preceding her in death: Mrs. Kate Rigsby, Elko, Nev.; Rudolf Ackerman, Star Valley, Nev.; Mrs. L. F. Maloney, Ogden, Utah; Frank Makowski Loup City; and 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
