David Barley, a venerable resident of this community, passed away Friday, September 9, at the home of Henry Tobias and family with whom he spent his last years. Death was due to heart trouble. He was born Jan. 22, 1827, in Pennsylvania. His wife had preceded him in death, but there survive him a sister and three step-children. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Sunday and were conducted by Rev. G. A. Connibear. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Covington.
