Barbara Jean Alexander, 58, of Providence died Saturday, June 2, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was a housewife and a member of the Providence Second Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher, church clerk and Bible School teacher.
Survivors include her husband, James "Sonny" Alexander; her mother, Era V. Tweddell of Providence; a daughter, Rhonda Alexander of Hanson, brother, Paul Tweddell and a sister, Donna Wilson, both of Providence.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 from Townsend-Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Harrison and Rev. Terry Rhye officiating.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Providence.
