Providence – Jessie Preston Alexander, 75 of Providence, died Friday at his home.
Member: Second Baptist Church of Providence and a member of Providence Masonic Lodge.
Work: He was a retired coal miner
Survivors: His wife of fifty-five years, Georgia; daughter Kathy
Kaufman of Providence; sons James "Sonny" Alexander and Kevin
Alexander, both of Providence and Jessie "Bobby" Alexander of Calhoun;
sisters Dorothy Gardner of Eddyville, Lucille Edmonson of Madisonville,
Ruth Crowell of Providence, Lois Fox of Dixon and Joyce Bridwell of
Henderson; brother Ralph Alexander of Providence; six grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.
Services: 2 pm today at Townsend-Jones Funeral Home, Providence with
Rev Thurmon Harris officiating.
Burial: Odd Fellows Cemetery, Clay.
